The Coffee Bean is truly a Gypsy! Originally it's energetic properties
were discovered in Eastern Africa and quickly migrated into the Arabian
Peninsula, Turkey, and Europe. Europe is where coffee became the elixir
we know and love today. Coffeehouses built not only a community, but
created a forum for intelligent conversation among the masses. The
bean arrived in the America's via a rogue plant in the 1700's, which
cultivated the roots of the Central and South American coffee industry.
The Gypsy Beans and Baking Co. beans are locally roasted and feature
blends grown throughout the world. Our proprietary Espresso blend
features seven different beans roasted in three different styles and
is developed specifically for our imported manual espresso machine
housed in the café. The result is a rich, bold, slightly nutty
espresso with a heavy crema. Well-traveled espresso lovers have
commented it's the best they've had since being abroad. The Gypsy's
House Blend combines Central and South American beans in a medium roast
designed to compliment food and pastry (it is also served
decaffeinated). Our Roaster has met growers from all coffee regions and
specializes in roasting each type of bean for it's distinctive
profile. The Gypsy features one of these gallant roasts daily, in
addition to the House Blend. For the Flavor lovers, a mildly roasted
bean is treated to a bit a spice or a dash of something sweet
everyday!
